Oriental Jewelry Box with Mirror

This lovely Oriental wooden jewelry box is full of character and is very practical too. The lid has a mirror which can be opened and used as a mirror stand. Each side of the box is beautifully hand-painted, and comes with two drawers with small handles and two elegant handles on both sides of the box. The lid has a painting of an Oriental boy carrying crop and on the front, there is a painting of fruit. Each right and left side of the box have a painting of a bird on a beautiful branch and an animal in a field is painted on the back of the box.

The mirror carries some age marks, which indicates that it is original, but you can still see yourself well. The lid does close, but over time, the wood has changed its form, as you can see in the picture below. The lid has a latch, which can conveniently be locked with a padlock. The back of the box and the lid has a crack and overall, there are marks on the wooden surface. Judging from the numbers written inside the box, it must have a history of having been sold in the past.

This vintage jewelry box will be a lovely piece to keep your accessories in or purely to appreciate the warmth and beauty of its craftmanship.
