Thai massage Kiyoko

I'm sure anyone who has experienced any kind of massage would agree that having a massage is one of the most effective ways to release stress, feel energised and maintain good health. After an hour's massage, don't you feel so relaxed that the problems that have been bothering you seem less troublesome? Most importantly, you start to really feel good about yourself.

You may have tried  massages such as aromatherapy, Swedish, sports, Indian or shiatsu, but have you ever tried Thai massage? Kiyoko Saito is a member of our Revive team, who specialises in Thai massage. She studied in Thailand to qualify as a masseuse and has been working in London ever since. Let us introduce you to the ancient massage of Thailand and the wonders it brings.

Traditional Thai massage is something like doing yoga but without the need to put any effort. It is a combination of rhythmic accupressure, body rocking and deep, assisted stretches. A number of gentle techniques are carried out on the floor using the thumbs, forearms, palms, elbows, knees and feet. A full-body massage usually lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours.

It is suitable for all ages, whether you are healthy or not. Originated in India over 2500 years ago, it has appealed to many people because it is effective and encourages us to release our physical and emotional restrictions, even beyond our present limitations.

Thai massage helps to:

  • relieve back, neck and shoulder pain

  • reduce stress

  • improve flexibility

  • improve circulation of blood and lymph fluid
